Abstract
The study examined implementation of fee-based library services in public libraries for
enhanced service delivery to the users. It covers fee-based library services; purpose of fee-
based library services in public libraries which includes effective and efficient competition,
provision of an additional services, actualization of the goals of public libraries in support of
education among others; types of fee-based services in public libraries includes including
abstracting and indexing services, registration of user services, compilation of bibliographic
services among others. The study also covers importance of fee-based library services in
public libraries, challenges associated with fee-based libraries services and strategies for
enhancing fee-based library services in public libraries
