Abstract
The aim of this study was to critically analyze the Awareness of Artificial Intelligence for
Reference Services among Librarians in Delta State University Library, Abraka as case study.
The study adopted the descriptive survey design to gather, opinions of the librarians in Delta
state university library. The population of the study consists of Sixty Three (63) Librarians and
paraprofessionals in Delta State University, Library. A total enumeration sampling technique
was employed in order to allow all the targeted population to participate in this study. The
instrument for the study was a structured questionnaire which was administered to the
participants and the results revealed that while awareness levels are moderate to high, the actual
integration of AI in reference services remains limited. The study recommends capacity-building
programs and infrastructural investments to enhance AI utilization in academic libraries.
